Charleston, SC - For the unemployed, the recession is making finding a job a little like finding a needle in a haystack.

"For me not good because I am old and I don’t have any skills just to tell the truth," said Karen Robinson who is unemployed.

The frustration is causing many to start looking any and everywhere for work. Some are now finding it by working from their homes.

"They have to have the skills to be able to have an enterprise at home rather than just say I want to be home more,” said College of Charleston Career Center Director Denny Ciganovic.

Websites like workathomecareers.com, worldwideworkathome.com and homenetpro.com all offer job listings and resources.  Other more personal work can earn you extra cash as well.

"There are a lot of people who give voice lessons, music lessons, they might do tutoring that's been going on for a long time and won't change," Ciganovic said.

Experts recommend holding any new job until the economy improves.
