Harry Belafonte is a communist. He was Fidel Castro's fishing buddy (when Castro was conscious). While Fidel and Harry were fishing and having their pictures taken, thousands of people were making the treacherous voyage to cross the Florida straits in makeshift rafts. Unknown numbers have lost their lives and that includes children. Where is Mr. Belafonte's compassion? Mr. Belafonte doesn't know about opression and hunger. John Edwards would be well to not have his backing. And by the way, your report is offensive.

Thanks for the story. Having Harry Belafonte endorse my favorite candidate means far more to me than having Oprah endorse him. I think the world of Mr. Belafonte. He has had a long distinguished career standing up for human rights and to have him recognize the strength of character that I see in Edwards makes me smile. Thank you Mr. Belafonte for once again standing up to be counted!
