Columbia, SC - The FBI
(web) is looking for a man wanted for three bank robberies in Georgia and South Carolina. On Nov. 24, at 1 p.m., the Wachovia Bank in Pooler, Georgia was robbed. Approximately one hour later, the same alleged male robbed the Bank of America in Bluffton, SC.
Then on Nov. 25, at 2 p.m., the same alleged male robbed the Wachovia Bank in Walterboro, SC.
According to investigators, in each of these robberies the suspect verbally demanded money; claimed to have a gun, and then fled on foot, except for the robbery in Walterboro, SC., where it was reported that the robber fled in a newer model blue car.
Authorities say it is apparent that the robber is travelling north up Interstate 95 and robbing banks located off the exit. Police say the robber has worn the same clothing in two of the three robberies, and a University of Miami Hurricanes baseball cap in all three.
The robber has not been observed with a gun, however, should be considered armed and dangerous because he has threatened a gun in all three robberies, investigators say.
Police describe the robber as a Caucasian man, between 5-foot-10 and 6-feet, 180 to 200 pounds, olive color skin and neatly groomed goatee.
Authorities ask anyone with information to call the Columbia Division of the FBI at 803.551.4200 or your local FBI office.
