Airman Dies in Car Crash

The single-car crash happened Saturday morning on Highway 162.
"On behalf of all members of Team Charleston I would like to pass my thoughts and prayers to the family, friends and coworkers of Airman Zwick as we cope with the lose of this Airman," said Colonel John Wood, 437th Airlift Wing Commander, Charleston Air Force Base. "The loss of every Airman regardless if it is on the battlefield or at home station is felt throughout the entire organization and today our organization has a heavy heart for the loss on one of our own Airmen."
Authorities say 24-year old Joshua Zwick died after his car hit a tree, around 5 AM.
The coroner's office says he was wearing his seatbelt.
Airman First Class Joshua Zwick is assigned to the 437th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron.
