Charleston, SC - Police say three teenagers were arrested after a burglary was committed at a Perrine Street home in Charleston on Tuesday.
Thomason Rashard Bennett III, 19, of North Charleston; Larry Taron Maybank, 17, of North Charleston and Justin Tyshad Chisolm, 17, are all charged with second-degree burglary. Maybank and Chisolm are charged as adults.
Charleston Police say a woman was asleep on the third floor of the home when she heard noise coming from the second floor. She went downstairs and saw the teenagers standing near a wooded area behind her residence, police say.
The teens ran towards a nearby high school and the woman chased after them before losing sight of them.
The police say they arrived on the scene and saw three teens walking on Sanders Road who fit the description of the burglary suspects.
According to authorities, the initial investigation revealed that the teens were involved in the burglary and were carrying some of the items taken during the burglary.
Some of the items taken include a laptop computer, a digital camera and a half bottle of rum.
All the suspects were transported to the Charleston County Detention Center.
