North Charleston, SC - Police say three men have been arrested for the armed robbery of a Dollar General store in North Charleston.
The North Charleston Police say 21-year-old Marion Nathaniel Mitchell, 23-year-old Jeremy Jermaine Brown of Adams Run and 23-year-old James Phillip Gladden, Jr. in connection with the armed robbery of the Dollar General Store at 2080 Northbrook Drive.
According to investigators, at about 9 p.m. on Nov. 10 two men entered the store, one armed with a handgun, confronted the store employees and demanded money.
The employees complied and the suspects exited the business with an undetermined amount of money with a third suspect waiting outside in a vehicle in which the robbers fled the scene, police say.
Acting on suspect and vehicle information obtained, several hours later, officers saw a vehicle possibly matching the description of the suspect’s get-a-way car in the area of Lowell Drive.
Officers say they saw three men leave the vehicle and enter a nearby apartment. Investigators say they made contact with the occupant of the apartment and following consent to search by the resident located three male subjects inside.
Investigators say they also located items that were consistent with the robbery to include a handgun, ammunition and cash.
All three suspects were arrested and charged with possession of a handgun during the commission of a violent crime and armed robbery.
Investigators are working with other police agencies to determine if the suspects may be involved in any recent robberies.
