Goose Creek, SC - Police say are on the lookout for two people who robbed a Dollar General store in Goose Creek Tuesday morning which caused schools in the area to shutdown.
College Park Middle and Elementary School, and Stratford High School were placed on lockdown as a precaution after the robbery.
According to Goose Creek Police, at 8:31 a.m. officers were sent to the Dollar General Store at #5 Alliance Drive in reference to a 911 report of an armed robbery.
Officers were told that two male suspects, one of whom had in his possession a rifle with a scope, had entered the store and demanded money.
The suspects fled on foot across College Park Road toward the College Park Subdivision.
Authorities say this is the third robbery in this shopping center since October 25, 2009. The Ocean Isle Restaurant was robbed on Oct. 25 and Nov. 7.
