Charleston, SC - Police arrested a 26-year-old man after authorities found a marijuana manufacturing operation at a home on Briarcliff Drive in Charleston.
Investigators charged Andrew Wilson Lassiter, 26, with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, manufacturing marijuana and possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute within close proximity of a school.
According to the Charleston Police Department, on Nov. 2, a search warrant was executed at a home and police confiscated 47 marijuana plants, three ounces of marijuana and $4, 414.00 in cash.
Authorities say they also found a ventilation system, an irrigation system, a lighting system and potting soil which were being used to grow marijuana. Lassiter was being held in the Charleston County Detention Center.
The investigation continues.
