ABC News 4 - Authorities Investigate Accident that Killed Two

Charleston, SC - The Charleston County Sheriff’s office and the Highway Patrol are investigating a deadly accident that happened around 2:30 am Saturday morning in McClellanville.

Deputies responded to reports of shots fired near Club 17 North.

Officers were given the description of the vehicle and spotted the cars as they were leaving the area.

Deputies tried to stop one of the cars but the driver refused to stop.

A chase began and the driver of the car lost control and flipped several times striking several trees.

Both people were ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.

The coroner's office has not yet released the names of the two who were killed.
