Charleston, SC -
The biggest mystery surrounding the Kate Waring case: where was the missing Charleston woman? That question answered by James Randolph and his team of private investigators.
"We were hoping for a resolution to find a person all well but that wasn't the case so the jubilation in finding her quickly turned to sorrow," said Private Detective James Randolph.
Randolph's team is made up of former police officers hired by Waring Family attorney Andy Savage. They found her remains Saturday in the Polly Pointe Subdivision on Wadmalaw Island. Waring had been missing since June 12.
"Worked on this case diligently day and night in - there wasn't a day that went by that we didn't discuss this case," Randolph said.
Two people remain in custody in connection to the case, Heather Kamp and Ethan Mack are charged with lying to investigators and attempting to cash a forged check from Waring’s account. Charleston county records show the couple applied for a marriage license on Sept. 25, two weeks before their arrest.
"I just saw them coming and going I've seen her when she was walking to the street," said a neighbor.
