Officials Investigate Two Deadly Accidents in Berkeley County

The latest accident happened around 10:25 pm, where 46-year-old Velyncia Bradford was killed.
Investigators say she was struck while crossing highway 17-A by a Berkeley County Sheriff’s Deputy.
The Moncks Corner woman was transported to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The accident is still under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol and
A second accident earlier in the evening happened when a full size Chevy was crossing the south bound lane of Hwy 52 at the
intersection of 52 and Moss Grove Drive.
The coroner says the vehicle was broadsided by a jeep.
The front seat passenger, 53-year-old Connie Gwynette of Ravenel, was entrapped in the vehicle.
She was taken to Trident Hospital where she later died.
The accident is under investigation by the coroner and the Moncks Corner Police Department.
