The Dorchester County Sheriff's Office has released the named of two men they say are connected to a North Charleston murder that occurred late last month. On August 29th police found 24-year-old Herman Ward lying in the roadway near Stratton Drive, bleeding from a gunshot wound to the head. Ward was transported MUSC where he died on Thursday. Last night, officials arrested 23-year-old Xavier Walker of North Charleston for his involvement with the crime. He is being charged with one count of murder. Investigators have issued an active murder warrant for 28-year-old Roger Dewayne Rutledge, also known as Bongo. Anyone with information about the crime or the whereabouts of Roger "Bongo" Rutledge is asked to contact Crimestoppers at 554-1111.
