The driver of a semi-truck heading westbound on the Mark Clark Expressway attempted to exit on to Rivers Avenue when witnesses say the truck flipped on its side, according to Spencer Pryor with the North Charleston Police Department.
The driver, Leroy Cooper, was transported to St. Francis Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Cooper has been cited for driving too fast for conditions.
The exit ramp is closed at this time but expected to be re-opened shortly.
