The sound of a GMC truck crashing into a brick home on Ranger Drive is not the alarm that most neighbors thought they would be waking up to.
"...it sounded like something exploded," said Mary Singleton who lives next door.
Police say the driver 60 year old John Seamster was shot on Constitution Boulevard then drove his truck into the home. He died from the gunshot wounds.
"it's sad to see something like that happen and for what reason we don't know," Singleton said.
As police try to figure out the motives behind this murder, some neighbors speculated that drugs could've played a factor.
"If police would put some undercover cops in here with plain clothes and plain cars they could see what's going on," said neighbor Acie Rabon.
The owner of the house that was crashed into is OK. He was asleep at the time. Currently police say they have yet to make an arrest, they have no suspects and are continuing to investigate the shooting. Anyone with information on the crime should contact Crime Stoppers at 554-1111.
