Police are still looking for suspects in two bank robberies that occurred in Dorchester County Friday.
The first robbery occurred at approximately 11:00 a.m. at the Enterprise Bank of South Carolina, located off of Main Street in Ridgeville. Witnesses described the suspect to Dorchester County Deputies as a white male, 6-foot-tall in his twenties. He was wearing a striped light colored button down short sleeved shirt with a round shaped face, metal rimmed glasses and short hair.
Dorchester County will be the lead agency in the investigation that is on-going. No one was injured during the robbery.
At around 11:41 am, while Dorchester County officers were still gathering evidence from the Ridgeville bank crime scene, Dorchester County dispatch reported that the South Carolina Bank and Trust in Harleyville had just been robbed. The Dorchester County Sheriff's Office is assisting the Town of Harleyville Police Department in their investigation.
Investigators learned that a black female entered the South Carolina Bank and Trust and demanded money. The female was described as wearing a ball cap with lettering, a blue shirt and sunglasses. No details about money amounts, from either incident, are being released at this time.
Dorchester County investigators believe that a late model brown in color, four door sedan, seen around the incident location at the time of the robbery was involved. It was observed to have been occupied by two black males, one white male and a black female. No one was hurt during the Harleyville bank robbery.
