Two men were shot early Wednesday morning according to the North Charleston Police.  Around 3:00 a.m. police responded to 3800 Ashley Shores Dr. to find Brian Lenard Acrum lying on the ground with a gunshot wound to his lower back.  Acrum was rushed to the Medical University of South Carolina for treatment.

Another victim, Deontray Santwane Bellman, was taken to St. Francis Hospital with a gunshot wound to his left arm.  According to police, Bellman was transported to the hospital from the same location and about the same time as Acrum.  Bellman told authorities his mother picked him up at the bottom of the bridge on Azalea Dr.  But, in a statement to police, Bellman's mother said her son arrived at her home on Ashley Shores Dr. and told her he'd been shot.

Also uncovered during the initial North Charleston Police Department investigation were bullet holes in two cars on the scene.

If you have any information on this incident, you are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 554-1111.
