The summer is a slow time for the American Red Cross, people are out enjoying the weather rather than donating blood. Now however, to help drive in more donations South Carolina Chapters of the organization are promoting a special program.
"Anybody that donates blood in South Carolina in the months of July, August and September will have the chance to win 1 of 3 $1000 gas cards," said Patrick Lamontagne with the Red Cross.
