Charleston, SC - What was a quiet corner suddenly became a crime scene.
The victims were Johnny and Betty Vice, a North Charleston couple in their 60's.
"It just crushed me to see the impact of what happened," the Vice’s daughter Natalie said.
The Vice's leave behind six children and 21 grandchildren.
"For me, it's just a dream. Wake me up because I can't believe it," the Vice’s daughter Dee Dee said.
The trouble started when an officer pulled over a speeding vehicle on Moultrie Street, Charleston police said.
As the cop approached the Chrysler 300, investigators said it sped off. Seconds later it ran a stop sign, smashing into the driver's side of the Vice's Cadillac.
"Like look what they've done to this family. They don't deserve this, my mother and father do not deserve this,” Natalie said.
As investigators reconstruct the scene and search for new information this family searches for closure.
"They taught us that love. Love, it will bring you through anything and now that's what we want to hold onto,” Dee Dee said.
While holding out hope the suspects come forward.
The car that caused the crash was not stolen, police said. They know who that vehicle is registered to, but police say that person was not in the car at the time of the accident.
Police tell ABC News 4 the suspected driver left the scene in either a Ford Expedition or Cadillac Escalade.
They said he was wearing an army green colored shirt and one of the other passengers wore blue jean shorts and a white tank top.
