Columbia, SC - Authorities say the house fire that killed a 26-year-old South Carolina Highway Patrol trooper was an accident.
Multiple media outlets reported Tuesday that Florence County officials said they found no accelerants at the scene of the fire that killed Trooper 1st Class Andrew McInville
The blaze broke out around 1 a.m. on May 27 at McInville's home in Timmonsville. Florence County Coroner M.G. Matthews says the trooper died from smoke inhalation.
McInville was a Timmonsville native and began working for the Highway Patrol in 2007.
