The woman accused of abusing a child at the daycare where she worked turned herself in Monday. Jaquetta Farr Johnson is accused of striking a 3-year-old across the face. The incident took place November 14, 2007, at Kreative Academy.
Originally, Johnson told the victims mother the child fell down the slide on the playground, striking her face on the woodchips. Later, another teacher at the school said she saw Johnson stirke the child in the face twice with an open hand. The child's mother filed the complaint with the Charleston County Sheriff's Office. Johnson is charged with one count of unlawful conduct towards a child.
The Charleston County Police Department requested help from the public Monday morning to find Johnson.
