Charleston, SC - A Ladson man is in custody for grand larceny of a motor vehicle.
According to police, just before 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 24 Luther Woodard Cribb, 45, approached a man at the Airport Inn on Dorchester Road attempting to sell him a camera. The man told Cribb he was not interested and proceeds to enter the hotel to check in, leaving his keys in his car.
While the man was inside the hotel, Cribbs got into the car and drove off, police said.
Police tracked down Cribbs shortly after and took him into custody at the Shady Lady on Red Bank Road.
Cribbs was later transferred to the Charleston County Detention Center.
No damages were caused to the car.
