A number of free, public Memorial Day services are being held on Monday.
Those services will take place all over the lowcountry.
In Mount Pleasant, the Patriot's Point Naval & Maritime Museum will have a ceremony and wreath-laying at 9 a.m. After 10 a.m. all visitors except Veterans will have to pay regular admission.
Also, in Mount Pleasant, a service will be held at the Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens at 2 p.m. American Legion Post 136 will place a wreath at the Veterans Cemetery.
The American Legion Post 166 in Goose Creek will hold a service at 12 p.m. The service will be held at Carolina Memorial Gardens on Rivers Avenue.
A Memorial Day Prayer Vigil will be held in Hollywood from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. at the Hollywood Town Hall.
In Summerville the Annual Memorial Day Ceremony will be held at Summerville Cemetery at 10:30 a.m. In Moncks Corner services will be held at the Berkeley County Veterans Monument (139 West Main Street). That is happening at 10 a.m.
