An EMS worker is charged with possession of narcotics, after EMS workers say he stole a patient's pills.
EMS worker, Stephen Gray, transported Edna Robertson to MUSC Thursday. Robertson brought her prescription for oxycodine with her. EMS Supervisor, Traci Madden counted the patients pills in front of EMS worker Chris Edgar. The patient's pill bottle contained 100 pills, according to the Charleston County Sheriff's Office report. Edgar drove the ambulance, while Gray was tending to Robertson in the back of the vehicle.
When the unit arrived at the hospital, Madden counted the number of pills in the patients bottle, and there were only 65.
When questioned, Gray admitted to taking 35 Oxycodine pills. A search warrant was obtained for Gray's duffel bag, where he says her put the pills.
