The City of Charleston Police Department nabbed the South Carolina Federal Credit Union robbery suspect. Public Information Officer, Charles Francis, says police arrested 41-year-old Carl Lee Mikell, just hours after he robbed the Folly Road credit union.

Mikell is charged with entering a financial institution with the intent to steal. Mikell is currently being held in the Charleston County Detention Center. He is scheduled to have a bond hearing at 2 p.m. Friday.
Mikell is accused of entering the Credit Union around 9:20 a.m. with a bottle of flammable liquid, pouring some of the flammable liquid on the floor of the business and handing a teller a note demanding money. The teller handed him an undetermined amount of money and he left the bank. Police were able to locate the suspect because he wrote the note on the back of his cellular telephone bill.
