The Charleston School of Law has named a new associate dean.
Law school dean Andy Abrams says Lisa Smith-Butler will become the school's associate dean for library and information technology on June 29.
Smith-Butler comes to the Charleston law school from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., where she is the associate dean of the law library and technology center.
Smith-Butler has a law degree from Creighton University and a master's degree in library science from Clark Atlanta University.
