Columbia, SC - Almost 500 local officials and community members from around South Carolina are packing a room at the Convention Center in Columbia today. Its standing room only now where government officials from around the state are taking part of the Stimulus 101 Summit.
Charleston Mayor Joe Riley
(web | news | bio) and mayors from around the state are on the agenda as speakers. The featured speaker is Ed DeSeve, Special Advisor to the President and Vice President for Recovery Act Implementation, Office of Management and Budget. He was unable to attend but phoned in and spoke about the stimulus money.
