Attorney General Henry McMaster announced Thursday that Arnold Ramos Pastor, 44, of Saint George, was indicted on Wednesday by the state grand jury for embezzling public funds.
Pastor is charged with embezzlement, a felony offense punishable by up to ten years in prison and a fine.
The indictment alleges that on or about June 19, 2006, and while employed as a Captain for the Dorchester County Detention Center, Pastor embezzled public funds he was entrusted to oversee in an amount greater than $5,000. Pastor is accused of using those funds for personal purposes.
