As Delta and American airlines continue grounding planes to check the wiring, local travelers are are being affected as the domino effect of canceled flights hits Charleston.
"We were supposed to get out at 11:20am but now we're leaving out at 3:50pm. It's frustrating because the other person traveling with us, she's going to be on another flight," said Sheron Grant.
Only 4 flights were canceled at Charleston International. Nationally about 400 were grounded. Some people decided to drive instead of fly.
"There's a lot of other things I can think of to do with my time than drive for 5 hours," Sara Pabelford said.
Flights are expected to return to normal according to officials with Delta and American Airlines. Still some worry about safety.
"It's a little unnerving to know something might be wrong with the planes. I know I definitely wouldn't want to fly if there was something wrong," Pabelford said.
