A drivers' license checkpoint in the North Charleston community of Deer Park led to the arrest of Timothy Robert Gregowicz. North Charleston police conducted the patrol Tuesday in response to citizens' complaints about speeding in the area, but also as an effort to deter criminal activity.
Gregowicz was found to be in possession of 1,602 grams of marijuana and a large amount of cash. Narcotic officers executed a search warrant at Gregowicz's residence where they discovered an additional 1,643 grams of marijuana and thousands of dollars in cash. The 3,245 grams of marijuana seized has an estimated street value of nearly $33,000.00.
Gregowicz is charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana, and Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana within a ½-mile Proximity of a School. He is expected to appear before a bond judge Wednesday.
