You've probably noticed that gas prices are inching up again, almost daily.
There are several reasons for the hike. Oil prices have risen to over a hundred dollars a barrel. There are fires at oil refineries in Texas and Hawaii and problems at the Philedelphia refinery. With all this factored in, gas prices aren't expected to go down anytime soon.
"Once we cover that hurdle, spring will come, so consumer demand will start to rise so we possibly see the gas prices lurking in the $3.00 range for a while," said AAA Carolinas Spokesperson, Lori Jo Simmons. Regular unleaded across the tri-county is priced between $2.90 and $2.99.
