Faith Butler was past her due date by three days, but her doctor was going to wait to induce her until after the holiday. So she made plans for the night, but baby couldn't wait.
"I was planning on actually going to church, cause they were going to induce my labor on Monday, because he was overdue and she said at first when I went to the Doctor I didn't dilate any, so I was planning to go to church, but No, God had other plans..." she explained.
Faith got to MUSC at 5:30 p.m. on New Year's Eve. She was almost fully dilated by midnight.
Her son Ja'Heim Dais Butler was born at 3:32 a.m., making him one of the first babies of the new year.
